EQUIPMENT: BLOCK MIXES OLD AND NEW

What's in the bag?

Michael Block’s got a huge boost after finishing T15 finish at the 2023PGA Championship, and so is his seven-iron value.

Block, who normally charges $150 a lesson at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club in California, set the galleries a light when he aced the 16th hole on Sunday whilst paired with Rory McIlroy.

He collected a cheque for $288,000 for his work at Oak Hill, the largest in his career, but that number could increase if he accepts the additional  $50,000 offer made for the  ‘ace’ severn iron he used on Sunday.

“It’s crazy, right? I’ve had a couple different offers, and the initial response was it was $50,000 and I’d hand deliver it. Kind of kiddingly, but I guess not really anymore." - Block
